$100 revolution

One_hundred_dollar_laptop MIT's Director of the famous "Future of Learning Group"  in Pasadena send this multiple message:  1) current learning systems disempower, discourage, and disengage, and disenfranchise students from low-income and at-risk backgrounds (who drop out of school at alarming rates despite the fact that they can very clearly "do the work"--they just get bored and alienated). Enter MIT's Future of Learning Lab, which has them building the most amazingly complex hands-on projects to build advanced 21st century math skills.  And which plans, sometime this month, to begin rolling out the already notorious $100 laptops. So that students around the world can experience the power of the internet first hand.  Imagine going from a classroom with no books or even pencils to the instant unlimited access those of us on the other side of the digital divide now routinely enjoy.  Genuinely revolutionary. Stay tuned for further explosions.

I want it! I want it!

Acer_travelmate_c200_1 The Acer TravelMate C200 is a notebook-and-tablet convertible packing punch with a mobile Intel 915PM or 915GM Express chipset and dual-channel DDR2 533MHz RAM support. The sliding track integrated into the laptop is Acer's patented technology which allows you to quickly go from slate mode to notebook mode.

The C200 also offers 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as 3 USB 2.0 ports and 1 Firewire port. The fingerprint recognition software works very well. Users may have to get used to the diagonal scroll wheel at the bottom right corner of the keyboard but for this beauty I will get use to almost anything *giggles*

Multi Display

Laptop_solidworksgr
I admit that I’m kind of an addict when it comes to using a multi-monitor arrangement with my desktop. So much so that when it is time to use my laptop, I feel desperate to have just one display. Now the Matrox TripleHead2Go allows mobile professionals to connect an additional three monitors to their laptop. One display or potentially four displays - with the compact size and ease of connection, there is no denying that the Matrox TripleHead2Go is a great laptop accessory to have.
