Nano Technology Notebooks from Samsung

Samsung Electronics has announced its new line of notebooks named “ The Aura Edition ”. This new generation of notebooks sports next generation mobile computing hardware. To improve mobile computing all the three models R70, R20 and Q45 comes equipped with “ Nano-Technology ” that involves sprinkling nano-sized silver ion powder on keyboard and touchpad to kill germs. Samsung R20 will be the first model to hit the market. It comprises 14.1-inch TFT LCD monitor, ATI X1250 express card with 15.4-inch version, R70, Blu-ray or HD DVD drive and HDMI connectivity.

FragBook TLX

Falcon Northwest recently unleashed this Intel Core 2 Duo FragBook TLX 'Thin and light' series model. Less than an inch and a half thick, and weighing in at 7.5 pounds, it would make 'Houdini wonder how it was done.' Other features include a 17-inch anti-glare WSXGA LCD with a 1680X1050 resolution, an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 256MB VRAM graphics processing unit (GPU), a built-in standard definition TV-tuner, and realtek Hi-Def built-in stereo speakers.  You can even choose your color... yeap, almost any color :)

Sharp Gigantic Touch Screen

Sharp developed a gigantic touchscreen display besides their Aquos flat panel LCD displays. Sharp said that the BIG touchscreen display will be an awesome presentation tool for business meetings and instead of brainstorming, people could write on the display and make it more collaborative and visual. Though, it sure will be useful for board room presentations, but the lack of portability isn't that good for that!

World’s Smallest UMPC

It might be the world’s intended smallest ultra mobile PC. Digital Cube is working on smaller UPMC that will run on AMD Geode processor. Samsung Promises High-end Technology

Samsung announced its second generation Q1 Ultra UMPC during the press conference at Cebit exhibition in Hanover, Germany. The UMPC with lighter weight and more power to rectify inadequacy in technology applied in original Q1 PC . Weighing just 690 grams this Q1 Ultra is 12% percent lighter than the original Q1 that weighs somewhere around 780 grams and is also slightly smaller in measurement that is 228 millimeters by 124mm by 24 mm. The PC is refined with some other changes too that include 7-inch touchscreen LCD with 1,024-pixel by 600-pixel resolution, hardware keypad that is divided into two parts on each side of the device and facilitates users to type while holding the PC with their both hands. The Q1 Ultra UMPC contain 800MHz Intel Corp. microprocessor, 1G byte of double data rate 2 memory, an external USB keyboard, mobile version of WiMax, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, WiBro and support High-Speed Downlink Packet Access networks.

Clevo D900C Projects to Become World’s Fastest Notebook PC

Clevo laptop from Tawian will surely master the shelves with its D900C and could claim the title of World’s Fastest Notebook PC. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo processor or Extreme X6800 at 1.86GHz to 2.13GHz with 2.4GHz, 2.67GHz and 2.93GHz clock speed. The other cool specs includes 4GB of RAM, nVIDIA GForce Go 7950 GTX w/512MB each in SLi graphics and upto 3 2.5-inches hard drives. The notebook also comprises 17-inch LCD screen with 1680 x 1050 and 1920 x 1200 resolutions, optional 8x DVD Super Multi-Drive Burner, WiFi, Bluetooth, built-in TV Tuner, 1.3 Megapixel webcam and a 7-in-1 Card Reader (MS/MS Pro/MS Pro Dup/SD/SD Mini/MMC). The machine runs on Windows Vista Home Premium OS but the price remains a secret.

Samsung Ultra mobile PC

Samsung gets Windows Vista certification for its first ultra mobile PC. This Q1P UMPC provides users with modern PC functions along with multimedia versatility and advanced connectivity in an ultra-mobile platform. The machine features 1.0 GHz Intel Pentium processor, 60 MB hard drive, 1 GB of memory and AVS to access multimedia content without opening Windows. This 7” touchscreen laptop weighs around 1.7 pounds and also includes Bluetooth and WiFi wireless connectivity with many other common feaures.

White Asus W7J

ASUS went back to basics in it colors. The notebook will soon invade the Korean shelves with its pure white color. This W7J 13.3-inch notebook PC comes with Bluetooth v2.0, Intel PRO/Wireless 3945A/B/G core duo processor and supports 945 PM chipset. Super-Multi optical drive DVD, nVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 graphic card, 1.3M web-camera with DDR2 memory slot upto 1GB are also included.

LG R400

LG is getting into the game, as it’s stuffed one of those flash-cached, speed-booting, battery-saving and performance-enhancing drives into the new R400, which should be launching at the end of this month. What’s more, beside the 120GB drive, this notebook includes a 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X2300 graphics card, 14.1-inch LCD, 1.73GHz T5300 Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB of RAM and Bluetooth. Canovo Dual-TouchScreen tablet/notebook

An Italian design firm V12 Design has showed off an innovative Canovo Dual-TouchScreen tablet/notebook. Where is the innovation you may ask? Well, the new concept laptop doesn’t have any keyboard on it!, instead it has a touchscreen to work as one. Unfortunately, this concept it's only a dream for now, we will have to wait and see if it comes true or not.
