Voodoo Envy w.201 AKA: The Non-Portable Gaming Portable
Voodoo, recently acquired by HP, had an incredible gaming rig on display during CES 2007 last month. Dual NVIDIA GeForce 7800 SLI graphics cards with 256MB of RAM on each card, an AMD Turion 64 x2 dual-core processor, and a gig of RAM are all standard on each one of Voodoo's impressive new gaming computers; as is a 20-inch display capable of resolutions up to 1680x1050. What's uncommon about the gaming rigs are that they're all laptops. The Voodoo Envy w:201 gaming laptop is anything but portable, and I am not sure if it classifies as a "notebook computer," although technically there's a hinge between the body and the display so you can close it.
